OUTLINE ITINERARY
DAY 01 : JAYAPURA ARRIVAL – WAMENA (L,D)
Morning arrivals at Sentani airport of Jayapura,
meeting service then connect with the second
flight to Wamena ETD 10.00 or 12.00. Arrive at
Wamena airport, transfer to hotel. After short
briefing, visiting Napua hills with good
panoramic of Baliem Valley, then lunch at a
local restaurant. After lunch continue driving
to Wesaput village to see the traditional
hanging bridge and Dani villages. Before drive
back to hotel, stop at traditional market to see
the local people how they selling their
products. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 02 : WAMENA – HEPOBA – WAMENA (B,L,D)
Today we drive in 35 minutes to Hepoba village
south of Baliem valley, and start to have a day
trek for about 4-5 hours thru Dani sweet
potatoes gardens and enjoy the jungle naturally
& scenery surrounding. Along the trail you will
meet local people with friendly smile in their
traditional clothes, After picnic lunch heading
back to Wasaput where the cars pick you up to
Wamena for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 03 : WAMENA - JIWIKA - WAMENA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, drive 30 minutes to Jiwika in
the North of Baliem valley to see the 250 years
old Mummy. Then walk 10 minutes to village of
Anemoigi where you can view the Dani Mock battle
and traditional dance. You will see how the Dani
make fire traditionally, Lunch box will be
provided, after lunch, if the time still
available you may climb salt pool to see how
local people process a salt traditionally.
DAY 04 : WAMENA - JAYAPURA (B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Wamena
airport for your flight back to Jayapura. Arrive
at airport of Jayapura. You will have a full day
sightseeing tour including Mac Arthur 2nd World
War monument, Excursion at Sentani lake. Lunch
served at Yougwa restaurant near the lake. After
lunch, see the Anthropology museum (open from
Monday to Saturday at 09.00-14.00), then Hamadi
market & Jayapura city. Afternoon back to hotel
for overnight and dinner.
DAY 05 : JAYAPURA - DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast, Free at your own leisure until
transfer to airport for your next destinations.
