Jakarta/Denpasar Participants meet at Jakarta or (Bali)Denpasar Airport
in the late evening hours. Then depart to Jayapura. Aug 07: Arrival Jayapura (Papua) Some of the participants join with the group in Jayapura, today we need several hours to arrange necessary permits for Papua. Free Program or relax at the hotel. Aug 08: Jayapura -
Wamena Departure to Wamena by Trigana regular Flight. Arrive in Wamena
sightseeing visit Jibama local market, Mummy, Mock War, Dance and climb salt
lake. Stay at hotel. Aug 09 – Aug 12:
Baliem Valley Festival The festival is usually made from Aug 09 to Aug
14 in Wamena or at villages near the town. We will provide cars for the
transfer from town to the villages according to the festival program. The
program of festival in Wamena is very unique and of course natural, the Dani
and the tribes who participating are still keep the old traditions in their
everyday lives. On the festival you can see directly how is the way of life
of Dani people. Stay at hotel. Aug 13: Wamena –
Kilise village Trekking to Kilise village in 3-4hours thru Dani tribe
villages, stay in local huts Aug 14: Kilise - Wamena Return from Kilise village, stay at hotel Aug 15: Jayapura – Wamena Departure by Trigana Air to Jayapura. Sightseeing and relax and swimming to the beach Aug 16: Departure to Jakarta or Denpasar transfer to the airport.
The price includes: Air transport from Jayapura to Wamena and return, hotel, accommodation in the villages/huts, all meals breakfast/lunch/dinner, land transport & Transfers from & to Airport, entrance fees to the villages, and an English speaking guide, Porter during trekking, The price does not include: International flight to Jakarta/Denpasar and back, Domestic flight from Jakarta/Denpasar to Jayapura and back (we will make the booking upon request with standart price), entrance fees to other attractions apart from the festival, and possible fees for taking photos, Laundry, Telephone, Beverage and personal expenses.
